Community Spotlight: Freddie Seba
For Freddie, yoga represents healing, community, connection, and a profound sense of grounding, renewal, and personal growth. He believes deeply in the transformative power of a consistent, authentic practice and in the joy that comes from arriving on the mat exactly as one is.
Professionally, Freddie is an educator, emerging author, and speaker focused on the ethics and governance of Generative Artificial Intelligence for leaders. He publishes a weekly LinkedIn newsletter designed to educate the broader community in simple, accessible terms about both the exciting opportunities and the ethical challenges that artificial intelligence (AI) brings. Freddie’s goal is to empower everyone to thoughtfully support loved ones and communities as we navigate this transformative era of AI together.
Above all, Freddie is deeply grateful for his amazing daughter, Ally, whose strength, resilience, intellect, humor, kindness, and compassion constantly inspire him, both on and off the mat.
How long have you been coming to The Studio?
I have been a part of the Mill Valley yoga community for over ten years, practicing at The Studio since its inception. My yoga practice keeps me grounded amid personal, technological, and societal changes, reminding me that true strength lies in presence, practice, patience, kindness, and authentic community.
Do you have a favorite yoga pose and why?
One of my favorite poses is the headstand, which symbolizes balance, resilience, and the courage to face life’s challenges.
What is your go-to wellness ritual?
My wellness ritual begins with an early-morning reflection on gratitude, followed by movement and a cup of green tea, all of which helps anchor me for the day ahead. Most days, I bike from my home in Mill Valley to The Studio; feeling refreshed & centered after my yoga practice as I bike home.
Favorite quote or mantra:
I often reflect on a favorite quote from Rumi: “When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”*

At The Studio, I sincerely appreciate practicing and connecting with fellow yoginis, yogis, and staff members. I cherish the heart-centered community at The Studio. This welcoming space embraces everyone exactly as they are. Whether someone is just beginning their yoga journey, deepening a long-standing practice, seeking healing or exercise, or coming from a different path, everyone belongs there.
