Community Spotlight: Warren Farrell
Please meet Warren. Seeing him in class, on his mat, you would not guess that we have one of the great writers of our time among us. Warren has been a pioneer in both the women’s movement (elected three times to the Board of the National Organization for Women in NYC) and the men’s movement (called by GQ “The Martin Luther King of the men’s movement”). He advocates for a “Gender Liberation Movement, freeing both sexes from the rigid roles of the past.” You would never know from his down to earth and approachable demeanor that he has been interviewed repeatedly by Oprah, Barbara Walters, Tucker Carlson and Jordan Peterson, and also by Peter Jennings, Sean Hannity, Katie Couric, Larry King, Regis Philbin, and Charlie Rose. He has frequently written for and been featured in The New York Times and publications worldwide.
A list of some of Warren’s books:
Father and Child Reunion (2001), Women Can't Hear What Men Don't Say (a Book-of-the-Month Club selection), and two award-winning international best-sellers, Why Men Are The Way They Are plus The Myth of Male Power, The Boy Crisis, and most recently, Role Mate to Soul Mate.
Warren has graciously agreed to display some of his books for our community to look through.
